Charles S. Rich devotes his practice to commercial
real estate, secured lending, and general business transactional work.
He represents institutional and private investors in acquisitions
and dispositions of commercial properties, in joint ventures, and
in development projects. He has also represented numerous lenders
and borrowers, including mezzanine lenders, commercial banks, and
insurance companies. He has worked with a large commercial bank in
connection with the leasing and asset management of its nationwide
"other real-estate owned" portfolio, which included the development
of national leasing forms. Mr. Rich has a broad range of experience
in all aspects of commercial leasing transactions for both landlords
and tenants.
Mr. Rich came to RLR having been a partner at Baer Marks & Upham LLP
and Rogers & Wells LLP, where he devoted his practice to commercial
real estate transactions in the areas of finance, commercial leasing,
joint ventures and investments, acquisition and development, and secured
finance.
Mr. Rich is a member of the Urban Land Institute and of the Real Property,
Probate and Trust Law and Business Law Sections of the American Bar
Association. Mr. Rich has contributed articles to various real estate
law publications and has served as an Editor of Metes and Bounds,
the real estate journal of the Association of the Bar of the City
of New York.
Mr. Rich received his B.A. in 1982 from the University of Pennsylvania.
He graduated in 1985 with a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University
School of Law. He serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees
of the Brotherhood Synagogue located in Manhattan's Gramercy Park
neighborhood. Mr. Rich is admitted to practice in New York. |
