Richard E. Rosberger joined RLR in June 2011. From 2007 to 2011, he was of counsel in the litigation department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, where he also worked as an associate attorney from 1996 to 2002. Before rejoining Milbank, Mr. Rosberger served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York from 2002 to 2007.

Mr. Rosberger is a litigator with a wealth of experience in all aspects of commercial litigation in both state and federal district and bankruptcy courts, including trial practice, appellate advocacy, alternative dispute resolution and corporate investigations. At Milbank, he represented, among others, the co-owner of a leading beverage company in three breach of contract and tort actions in New York state and federal courts, a foreign media company in a breach of contract and trademark infringement action, a reinsurance broker sued in New Jersey state court for fraud and other alleged misconduct, a hedge fund manager sued for violations of RICO, and a group of underwriters sued in New York federal court for securities violations. At the United States Attorney's Office, Mr. Rosberger defended the United States in several constitutional and statutory challenges to various federal laws and regulations, as well as in employment discrimination, environmental, habeas petition, and tax matters. Mr. Rosberger also led the civil investigations into and prosecuted civil fraud claims, including healthcare fraud, and represented the United States in a civil prosecution based on the illegal importation of drugs. Mr. Rosberger received the prestigious Attorney General's John Marshall Award for Alternative Dispute Resolution for his work on the resolution of a dispute between a governmental agency and certain insurance companies.

Mr. Rosberger earned his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and managing editor of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. Mr. Rosberger earned an M.A. from George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs, and a B.A. from Cornell University. He is a member of the bar of the State of New York.
